Did you know: Melvins’ Hamburgers and Hotdogs was recognized by Southern Living earlier this year as one of the South’s Most Beloved Hamburger Joints. When the three Melvin brothers first opened Melvins’ in 1939, it was little more than a pool room with a grill in the back. Operating in the same building more than 85 years later, you can still get a Carolina-style hamburger for just around $3.
Rest Stop 1: Spivey’s Corner Volunteer Fire Department. Nothing special just another Fire Department rest stop.
Rest Stop 2: Town of Roseboro. Voted Best Rest Stop in the 2018 Mountains to Coast Ride, the Town of Roseboro rolled out the red carpet yet again for all the riders this year with live music, food trucks and more. Had blast here!
Rest Stop 3: K&P Store & Grill. They had frog legs for us! I passed on that one ;-). I did get a glass of humming bird food (sweet tea).
Camp Site: Steel Smokin’ BBQ set up at camp on the soccer field behind the tents. Smells excellent! My good friend The Fat Tire Beer Garden was here and she was a welcomed site after 66 miles. Oh, and I got a nice 30 min massage today.
Saddle sores seem to be getting better. One more day and I can see The Girls and Ghost!

Tomorrow's Ride Distance: 67 miles
